Overview
Mark 15 opens with Jesus before Pilate, where He's condemned to be crucified. The soldiers mock Him, dress Him in a purple robe and a crown of thorns, and lead Him to Golgotha. Simon of Cyrene carries Jesus' cross, and He's crucified between two thieves. Darkness falls, and Jesus cries out to God before breathing His last. The veil of the temple is torn, and a centurion recognizes Jesus as the Son of God. Joseph of Arimathea requests Jesus' body, and He is buried in a new tomb, sealed with a stone.
