Jesus teaching

Who is Jesus?

On February 4, 2024, Pastor Gary Caudill delivered an important sermon at WHBC, focusing on the critical question, "Who is Jesus?" Drawing from Mark Chapter 8, Pastor Caudill guided the congregation through a journey of biblical exploration and personal soul-searching, highlighting Peter's revelation of Jesus as the Christ. This sermon underscored the significance of Jesus not merely as a historical figure but as the living Messiah, whose identity is central to our faith and eternal destiny.  His is both The Son of God, and God the Son!

Through scriptural references and deep theological insights, Pastor Caudill illuminated the prophecies fulfilled by Jesus, affirming His divine nature and messianic role. This message wasn't just a theological discourse but an invitation to experience a personal encounter with Jesus, recognizing Him as the ultimate bridge to salvation and a relationship with God.

The sermon concluded with a call to reflection and decision, urging attendees to move beyond mere religious knowledge to a heartfelt acknowledgment of Jesus as Lord and Savior. Pastor Caudill's message was a powerful reminder of the transformative power of faith in Jesus Christ, offering both hope and challenge to his listeners.

Who is Jesus?  He’s The Son of God, God the Son, Our Risen Saviour & Lord, and Soon Coming King. The Messiah!

Matthew 8:26-27     And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. [27] But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! Who is Jesus?  He’s the one whom the winds and sea obey!

John 11:25     Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: Who is Jesus?  He’s the Resurrection and the Life who has come to give YOU life!

John 14:6     Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Who is Jesus?  He’s the ONLY way to The Father, the ONLY truth, and the ONLY life.

John 15:5     I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. Who is Jesus?  He’s the vine, without which we could do nothing!

Isaiah 53:5     But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Who is Jesus?  He’s our Great Physician!

John 3:16-18     For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
[18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Who is Jesus?  He’s the One who Loves You So Much that he gave his life for you!

Rev. 3:20     Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Who is Jesus?  He’s the one whose voice you hear calling you to Himself this morning!

Romans 10:8-13     But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Who is Jesus?  He’s the one will SAVE YOU TODAY if you’ll come to Him!

Joel 3:14     Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. Who is Jesus?  He’s the one calling you to DECISION TIME TODAY!

Rev. 20:12-15     And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.   Who is Jesus?  He’s the One You will Kneel Before at Judgment if you do not Kneel Before Him today!

Hebrews 2:3a     How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation…. Who is Jesus?  He’s the one by whom you will never be able to escape judgement without!
