God Will Fight For You
Deuteronomy 3:22: "Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you."
Men of God, isn’t it refreshing to know that the Lord shall be our defense in times of battle? Of all the perils that encompass us daily, no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper! Paul even said in Acts 27:23-25, “For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.”
Here, two men of God in two different passages were given basically the same promise: God would side with them! What is the common denominator? Faith! Both Joshua AND Paul believed God, and therefore God came to their aid. When we have nothing to stand on and no one to stand with us, yet as long as we have His Word, and believe His Word, we have all we need! That is a simple yet profound reminder of our Commander in Chief’s ever-present help in time of trouble!
Whatever you’re going through right now, and no matter how hot the battle gets, our Lord shall be your shield! He shall be your refuge! He shall be your strong tower! Believe Him, and you’ll surely come out on the other side of your battle singing victory’s song!
2 Chronicles 20:15: "And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's."
2 Corinthians 10:4: "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)"
