Creation's Yearning: The Manifestation of God's Children
Romans 8:19
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
All of God’s creation is longing for the impact of the Glory of God which is purposed to be revealed in His children! This world is a miserable place without the light of God’s glorious grace. We as Christians underestimate far too much the significance of our God-given purpose. There is a place, a life, an environment, a jurisdiction, a geographical location, an event, a series of events, or any combination of the same, that is to be lit up by the Glory of God shining through our existence. We have been too timid with our gifts and talents in God’s kingdom, hiding them under bushels, and not letting our lights shine for Him. We must lay aside our timidity, unveil the hope that is within us, and let our lights so shine before men, that they may see our good works and glorify our Father which is in Heaven!
The truth is, this world is waiting desperately for you to allow God to reveal His glory in you through your unique personality, gifts, calling, and opportunities. “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” When you are made manifest to this world that you are a child of God, it is because God has shone His glorious light on you to put you on display as a vessel of honor, so that His glory can be revealed in you and through you. That is why the preceding verse says, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
You may not look like much today, but when God gets ready to reveal Himself through you, He will do so as a result of all the sufferings of this present time which have been used to prepare you to be put on display for His glory. No vessel is ready to be used until it has first gone through the fires of adversity. Do not think that you are going to die in your trial of affliction. To the contrary, you are going to come through on the other side with not so much as a smell of smoke on you, and having been tempered by the fire, you will be able to be used of God in such a capacity as is needed to fulfill the magnitude of God’s divine purpose for your life. Every detail of your life at some point will be used for the sole purpose of displaying God in all of His splendor in your life!
