Talk About Reaping and Sowing!
Revelation 16:5-6: "And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou has given them blood to drink; for they are worthy."
Can you imagine what a horrible day that will be for the inhabitants of Earth? By this time, the antichrist will have already risen to power, and the nations of the world under a one-world government and one-world religion will have gone completely hostile towards the Christian faith. Furthermore, the number of martyrs will grow exponentially from what it is even today at the time of this writing. By this time, if you do not take the mark of the beast, indicating your allegiance to and worship of the antichrist, then you will be executed.
What happens next cannot even be depicted accurately in a horror movie; God Himself will release His angel to turn the water into blood, by reason of the blood of saints and prophets who have been slain by wicked men. Before you cry, “That’s a bit harsh, don’t you think?” I would strongly suggest that you get on God’s side and work FOR Him and His people, and not against them! The Bible here actually says that, because of the sins of those who martyred Christians, they are worthy of their punishment. So, I’d think twice before I decided to make war with God or His people!
There is a reckoning day coming, and every man, woman, boy, and girl shall stand before a Holy and Righteous God, who will judge all for the deeds they have done upon this planet. This may be a little “stout” for a devotional; so be it! God is SO gracious to give us fair warning of the wrath which is to come, because He has given us a space to repent. The Bible says of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12), “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, because He took your Hell on the cross.
All you must do is accept His free gift of salvation in repentance of your sins. If you will put your faith in Christ, and Him alone, then you will be spared from this great day of wrath which shall come upon the Earth before the Second coming of Christ. Are you sure where you stand with God? You can be!
