Beyond Boundaries: The Irrepressible Spread of God's Word
Acts 5:25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
Get this; the men who put the apostles in prison for preaching Jesus still couldn’t keep up with their whereabouts! They had to be surprisingly informed that the apostles were no longer in the place they last had them bound. So it is with the enemies of the Gospel. Try as they may, they just can’t keep God’s messengers pinned down for any length of time. Why, even when Paul the Apostle was bound for much longer periods of time, some of his greatest works were not bound! He wrote over half of the New Testament, much of which was written while he was in prison. My point is this; God’s Word will never be bound by men. If God has a word for you to preach, and you are not as yet in that place, He WILL make a way. Some even reading this now may feel bound down by circumstances beyond your control. You feel as if your ministry is limited at best, and that should your prevailing circumstances which hold you back be removed, you would reach far more people with the Gospel of Christ. If this is you, be not worried.
When the time is right, God knows how to make a jail break on your behalf in order to get you past the security guards of your enemy’s gates of iron. Until then, be just as faithful as you can possibly be. Maintain your composure as a messenger sent by God, and God will use you even where you are at. No matter how difficult the situation, God will make a way! His message inside of you has a delivery address on it, and no hindrances of men or angels shall keep it from reaching its final destination. One day, sooner or later, the word will be brought to your enemy that you are no longer held captive to their powerless jail cell. One day, the enemy will find you in exactly the place where he was attempting to keep you from arriving. He knows that if you ever make it there, then he’s in trouble. He knows that the more God’s Word is published, the less ground he will get to keep. He knows that you are dangerous to him when you are free to preach the Gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ. That is why he is fighting you SO hard right now to keep you from reaching your destination. To that I simply say, preach on dear reader, preach on, and you will arrive!
