Week 2, Day 14:  The Spirit’s Power to Speak Through Us

  • Matthew 10:20  For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

  • Insight: In Matthew 10:20, Jesus reassures His disciples as He sends them out to proclaim the Gospel. He promises that the Holy Spirit will empower them to speak with wisdom, authority, and courage, even in the face of opposition. This same Spirit equips believers today, enabling us to share God’s truth with clarity and boldness, regardless of the circumstances we face.

The Spirit’s power goes beyond natural ability. He gives the words, timing, and confidence needed to testify about Christ. When we rely on His strength, He transforms our words into tools for ministry, conviction, and encouragement, ensuring that God’s message reaches hearts prepared to receive it.

  • Prayer: Thank God for the Holy Spirit, who speaks through us and empowers us to share His Word. Praise Him for His faithfulness to provide wisdom and boldness when we feel inadequate. Pray for the Spirit’s guidance and power to proclaim the Gospel with clarity and confidence, trusting Him to work through your words to accomplish His purposes.
